FAQ
Go to the Contact us page or give us a call. We'll discuss your requirements and give you an accurate quote based on your bespoke entertainment. We will take into consideration all aspects of getting to the venue, equipment and insurance so that your quote is comprehensive with no hidden extras.
How Do I Pay?
To secure 23X for your event you will need to pay a 25% non refundable deposit either by bank transfer or cheque within 14 days. We ask for the outstanding balance to be paid in cash on the day in advance of our first performance.
Are You Able To Provide A Contract And Receipt For My Deposit?
Yes as soon as the details for your event have been finalised we will send you a contract so that we both know exactly what is happening.
What's Included?
A three piece band featuring bass, drums, guitar and vocals, full lighting and sound and our DJ Package to keep you dancing while we aren't playing. Performance times are usually 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 minute sets, if you require us to play longer than this you may incur extra costs.
What Insurance Do You Have?
Public Liability Insurance covers accidental damage or injury to third party property and the public. This will be mandatory for many venues if you are asking to bring live music to your event. It will cover your venue and audience from any damage at the hands of us or our equpiment. All of our equipment is PAT tested and with full public liabilty insurance. We can provide certificates on requests.
How Long Do You Need To Setup?
We will need at least one hour to setup our equipment and soundcheck. A Soundcheck is an essential part of the setup. It allows us to check the levels of our instruments and for the P.A to be set so that the vocals can be heard clearly. It needs to be done at full volume so please bear that in mind for when you would like us to arrive so not to clash with speeches etc.
How Much Space Do You Need?
The minimum space we require is a 3X3 metre area. We will need at least two separate power sockets.
Can You Play My First Dance?
Yes of course, we are regularly asked to learn songs. We are professional session musicians with a massive back catalogue of songs that we can play. Please give us at least a month to learn and rehearse your choice of song.
Can You Take Other Requests?
We often take requests. Just let us know in advance of your event what you would like to hear.
Do I Need To Book A DJ Too?
As we really want your whole event to rock we also offer this service and have a massive library of music. As well as taking requests on the night we can put together a customised playlist of more of your favourite songs to keep your dance floor jam packed all night.
Do You Offer Any Other Services?
We also offer accompaniment for the Ceremony, Drinks Reception and Wedding Breakfast. Why not make the daytime celebration really personal and have some extra special music to create the perfect setting. Choose from a custom laptop playlist or our live acoustic guitar options. If you've ever wanted to sing with a live band, now you can. With the words to over 500 songs, bandaoke is your chance to own the stage and have some fun!
What Is The Rider?
The Rider consists of a hot or buffet meal and refreshments. This helps keep our energy up on the day ready to give you and your guests an exceptionally entertaining show. Please remember that we work longer than the time you see us, often travelling a long distance from our home.
What If A Member Of The Band Becomes Ill Or Cannot Perform?
If for some reason one of us cannot perform due to illness do not worry as we know a lot of excellent musicians and will be able to get someone to play with us at your event.
Where Will You Travel To?
We are available to perform anywhere in the world. Your quote will include travel costs.
Can I See 23X Play Before My Event?
A lot of our gigs are weddings and private functions but we do announce public gigs on our Facebook page to enable prospective clients to come and hear us play. Be sure to phone the venue before you set out just incase it has been cancelled for whatever reason.
The Venue I Have Chosen Has A Sound Limiter, What Does This Mean For My Entertainment?
This means the venue has installed a "volume control' that cuts out electricity supply if sound levels reach a certain volume for a set amount of time. It doesn't mean you can't have a band. Any limiter set above 90db should cause no problems. It is suggested that you let us know if the venue does have a sound limiter so we can tailor our set to fit these restraints. Make sure the only time the music stops is when you're done dancing!
Which Health And Safety Aspects Should I Consider?
All our equipment is fully insured. Your venue may request seeing a copy of the certificate before allowing us to play. Live music can be damaging to your hearing if you do not observe sound levels. We will monitor this to make sure the music is safe and comfortable for all guests at all times.
